Dutch Bros Greater Phoenix Raises Turkey Money for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance

PHOENIX, Ariz. (Nov. 8, 2017) – On Tuesday, Nov. 14, all Dutch Bros locations in Phoenix, Peoria, Goodyear and Surprise will donate a portion of the proceeds from each drink sold to the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance.
The St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance is a nonprofit organization that focuses on alleviating hunger in their community. Last year they were able to donate over 12,000 turkeys and meals to children, families and seniors in the valley.

According to the State of Arizona Hunger Facts, one in four Arizona children are food insecure and don’t know where their next meal will come from. More than 450,000 Arizona children are affected; the third-highest rate in the nation. One in five Arizona families live at or near the poverty level, and struggle to feed their families. One in seven Arizona seniors live on fixed incomes that force them to sometimes choose between food and medical costs.

“We've got an amazing partnership planned with St Mary's Food Bank here in Phoenix; to help in their efforts to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need all around the Valley,” said Josh Hayes, General Manager of Dutch Bros Phoenix. “This year they are celebrating their 50th anniversary and we couldn't be more excited to help out!”

A portion of the proceeds from each drink sold at Dutch Bros Phoenix, Peoria, Goodyear, Gilbert and Surprise locations on Tuesday Nov. 14 will be donated to the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance. The funds will directly benefit St. Mary’s Thanksgiving Fund Drive, which provides holiday meals for children, families and seniors throughout the Phoenix Area.

Dutch Bros Phoenix employees will also be volunteering with the St. Mary’s Food Bank on Nov. 20-22, to help put food in peoples' hands and provide coffee to all the volunteers who help make this incredible event possible.
