Dutch Bros Opens its Doors in Prescott Valley

Dutch Bros Opens its Doors in Prescott Valley

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (Aug. 23, 2016) - On Thursday, Aug. 25, Dutch Bros will welcome its newest location at 5963 E. State Route 69 in Prescott Valley. To celebrate, this new stand will offer all 16-oz. drinks for free.

On Thursday, from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dutch Bros Prescott Valley will provide its community with 16-oz. drinks including specialty coffee, freezes, smoothies, teas, and our private label energy drink, Blue Rebel™ for free.

Dutch Bros Prescott Valley will be locally owned and operated by Jazmin Evenson—this will be her first location. Jazmin’s journey with Dutch Bros started at a young age as she shares the same hometown with the company—Grants Pass, Ore. She moved to Arizona, and landed a job as a barista. It was here where she found herself being mentored by great leaders. She soon realized she ultimately wanted to own her own franchise where she could continue to pour into her crew and community.

In 2014, Dutch Bros was featured on Undercover Boss, and Jazmin played an integral role. Part of what she shared was her desire to franchise. During filming Dutch Bros’ co-founder Travis Boersma saw something special in Jazmin and he gave her his word that he would support her on her journey to achieve this goal being a Dutch Bros Franchisee; a goal that was achieved this year.

Jazmin connects with the culture and passion for positive impact that the city of Prescott Valley has. She is excited to be able pour into this community and to continue to impact and serve the people in a place she now calls home.

“I’m excited to be opening my first store,” said Jazmin. “I look forward to getting to know Prescott Valley.”

This new location will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Dutch Bros' Drink One for Dane Raises $758,500 for MDA and ALS Research

May 12, 2016

Dutch Bros' Drink One for Dane Raises $758,500 for MDA and ALS Research

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (May 12, 2016) - Friday, May 6, marked Dutch Bros’ annual Drink One for Dane day. On this day, Dutch Bros celebrated 10 years of fighting Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, ALS and, with the help of the community, raised a record breaking $758,500 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, MDA.

All 263 Dutch Bros locations in seven states donate proceeds from their day’s sales to MDA in support of ALS research and family services. This record breaking year surpassed last year’s donation by nearly 50 percent – bringing the company’s total donation over the past 10 years to over $2.53 million. Funds will benefit MDA in hopes of finding a cause and a cure for ALS.

"The impact that is made by our community is beyond what I could have ever imagined," said Travis Boersma, Dutch Bros co-founder. "My mind is blown every year by the generosity of our customers, franchisees and broistas. Thank you."

Drink One for Dane day will always be a way the Dutch Bros family can honor its late co-founder, Dane Boersma, who passed away from this disease in 2009. Dutch Bros, as a company, is still influenced by Dane’s inspiration, love and passion for music, a compelling future for all and good vibes.

ALS is a disease that impacts so many lives within Dutch Bros and its communities. It is an incurable disease that affects the parts in the nervous system that control muscle movement. Most people who are diagnosed with this fatal disease usually lose their battle within three to five years.

“The results from this year’s Drink One for Dane day and the outpouring of support from the Dutch Bros community on this 10th anniversary of the event is nothing short of astonishing. The Muscular Dystrophy Association is incredibly grateful for Dutch Bros’ continued support and partnership in the fight against ALS,” said MDA Senior Vice President & Scientific Program Director, Grace Pavlath. “This investment will help MDA make enormous strides in developing treatments and, ultimately, a cure for ALS.”

Together, we are making a difference to end ALS. Dutch Bros will continue to rally for those affected with this disease until a cause and a cure is discovered.

Dutch Bros Gears Up for Year 10 of Drink One for Dane and the Fight to End ALS

April 29, 2016

Dutch Bros Gears Up for Year 10 of Drink One for Dane and the Fight to End ALS

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (April 29, 2016) – Dutch Bros’ annual Drink One for Dane Day is Friday, May 6. On this day, all Dutch Bros locations will donate proceeds from the day’s sales to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, MDA

Over the past nine years, Dutch Bros has joined forces with their communities to donate over $1.7 million to MDA to benefit Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, ALS, research and family services, donating $506,000 just last year. May 6 will celebrate 10 years of partnering with MDA in hopes of finding a cause and a cure for ALS, a disease that impacts so many lives.

“It is really unimaginable that we have been doing Drink One for Dane for 10 years now,” said Travis Boersma, Dutch Bros Co-founder. “The progress that has been made in ALS research is inspiring, but there is still a long way to go.”

ALS is a disease that affects the parts of the nervous system that control muscle movement. There is currently no cure for ALS, and the disease is fatal – most people who are diagnosed will typically lose their battle within three to five years.

“We want to thank Dutch Bros and all of the baristas for everything they have done for MDA and to fight ALS,” said Amanda Haidet-Phillips, MDA Scientific Program Officer. “It is important to know that there is not a cure yet and there is still a lot of progress that needs to be made. So, let’s move forward as we celebrate Drink One for Dane and do everything we can to end ALS.”

Drink One for Dane day will forever hold a special place in the Dutch Bros world – as we lost one of the company’s co-founders, Dane Boersma, in 2009 because of this incurable disease. Dutch Bros will continue to honor the legacy of a man who was known to inspire and love everyone around him, and to fight until there is a cure.

“I hope everyone will join us and stand together against ALS,” said Travis. “In the words of Dane, ‘Let’s make this day bitchin’!”

ALS is a disease that touches the lives of many in Dutch Bros and their communities. All 262 locations in seven states will donate proceeds from May 6 to support family, friends, co-workers and neighbors who are or have been affected by this disease. Together, we can make a difference to end ALS

Dutch Bros’ Buck for Kids Raises Over $250,000 for Local Kids

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (Dec. 16, 2015) – Friday, Dec. 4, marked the Dutch Bros annual Buck for Kids day. On this day, over 250 Dutch Bros locations in seven states raised $250,008 for local children’s organizations.

“Investing in our kids is vital. We are inspired by all the organizations that put such care and planning into providing opportunities for kids,” said Travis Boersma Dutch Bros Co-founder. “Having the opportunity to support those local organizations as they provide programs and activities that compel our youth to live their dreams is truly heart warming.”

Buck for Kids is an annual event where each Dutch Bros franchisee partners with their local community to raise funds for organizations that benefits local youth.

"We are very grateful for the gift from Dutch Bros, the money is directed to our program that serves children with special needs throughout the year," said Kip Murray, Executive Director, Arizona Recreation Center for the Handicapped in Phoenix, AZ. "Each year we have a funding gap at the end of the year and this served as our own holiday miracle."

To raise funds, all 254 Dutch Bros locations donated proceeds from the day’s sales. Funds will go to the organization as they continue to support local youth and make a positive impact on their lives.

Cheer All Around As Dutch Bros’ 12 Days of Christmas Benefits Community

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (Dec. 22, 2015) – Dutch Bros’ 12 Days of Christmas has been spreading holiday cheer all with the help of you, and our community. The fun continues with a wrapping party at the Dutch Bros headquarters, located at 300 N. Valley Way on Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Beginning on Sunday, Dec. 13, Dutch Bros locations in Josephine and Klamath Counties have been participating in a variety of themed days that encourage all to give or receive joy this holiday season.

The 12 Days of Christmas included donation days for local organizations such as Funds for Food to the GPHS Comfort Food Program and Three Rivers School District, Canine Angels, Toys for Tots, and Joe’s Place. These days also encouraged the community to come together by spending time caroling, baking yummy treats with a Dutch Bros Cookie Cutters or paying it forward to spread even more love throughout the month of December.

The holiday fun is not over just quite yet either, as there are three more days until Christmas. On, Dec. 23, Dutch Bros invites all to come out, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., to headquarters in Merlin to indulge in the holiday spirit. Bring your gifts and come cozy up, visit DutchWear shop for last minute gifts, and members of the Dutch Bros team help wrap your Christmas gifts. Donations will be accepted for wrapping services; all funds will benefit the Love Abounds Foundation. On Christmas Eve, the Dutch Bros will celebrate the holidays within the community.

Dutch Bros 12 Days of Christmas is a way the Dutch Bros family could not only show their immense appreciation for the local community, but also celebrate this great time of year together as a community.
