Dutch Bros Grayhawk and Community Raises $12,400 to Support Brody Burnell and Chandler Riesterer

August 21, 2017

PHOENIX, Ariz. (Aug. 21, 2017) – On Friday, Aug. 11, Dutch BrosGrayhawk joined forces with the community to raise $12,400 to support Brody Burnell and Chandler Riesterer as they continue to recover from a recent plane crash.

Brody Burnell and Chandler Riesterer are currently in the intensive care unit after the pair were involved in a plane crash earlier this month. Brody, 18, and Chandler, 22, are both well-known in their community and at Dutch Bros Grayhawk—Brody being an employee and Chandler frequented the location in which he instantly connected with so many on the crew. Both of these young men are suffering from similar injuries and have a long road to recovery in front of them.

“We so ecstatic about the support shown by the community on Friday,” said Josh Hayes, Dutch Bros Phoenix General Manager. “We cannot thank everyone who came out to help or added to the donation jars enough. Both families are so grateful and we will continue to keep these young men and their families in our thoughts.”

To raise funds on Friday, Dutch Bros Grayhawk, located at 20795 N. Scottsdale Rd., donated proceeds from the day’s sales. Onsite donation buckets were also provided at all Arizona Dutch Bros locations for community members who wanted to contribute to these two gentleman in their, and their families, time of need. Friday’s proceeds will directly benefit Brody and Chandler to help offset medical expenses while they continue to heal from this unexpected aircraft accident.
