Dutch Bros Partners with Oregon State University to Raise More Than $3,700 for Children’s Cancer Association

November 2, 2017

CORVALLIS, Ore. (Nov. 2, 2017) – On Thursday, Oct. 26, Dutch Bros donated proceeds from each drink sold at Reser Stadium locations during the DB X CCA Joy! Game, and raised $3,735 for the Children’s Cancer Association.

“We were so happy to be able to donate over $3,700 to the CCA this past game,” said Bryce Schneider, Manager of Dutch Bros’ Reser locations. “We love getting to collaborate with organizations that have such an important and positive impact on kids and families. It also gives us as employees a greater purpose, and the opportunity to showcase what Dutch Bros culture is really all about!”

2017 is Dutch Bros’ fifth year as the official coffee sponsor for the Oregon State Beavers. The DB X CCA Joy! Game is an extension of Dutch Bros’ annual Buck For Kids campaign, which takes place on National Coffee Day, and raised more than $414,000 in 2017 for local nonprofit organizations working with children.

Dutch Bros held a similar event at the University of Oregon earlier this month. Proceeds from that game were donated to the Motiv8 organization, founded by former Duck Football player, Marcus Mariota.

The Children’s Cancer Association is unique, where most organizations focus on the important goal of finding a cure for cancer, the CCA focuses on creating joyful moments and memories for those suffering from cancer and their families. To put it in the CCA’s own words, they prescribe joy.

On Thursday, Oct. 26, all Reser Stadium Dutch Bros locations donated proceeds from each drink sold during the OSU and Stanford game, to the Children’s Cancer Association. Proceeds will directly benefit the CCA as they strive to provide opportunities for precious memories for each patient and family in their care.
