WOODLAND, Calif. (July 28, 2016) – On Monday, July 25, both Dutch Bros locations in Woodland joined forces with the community to raise $5,968 for local resident Wendi Locatelli to help offset medical expenses.
Earlier this summer, Wendi underwent amputations to both her legs and one arm due to an infection caused by Sepsis. Wendi, a devoted wife and mother of three young children is known in the Woodland community for her passion of life, her caring heart, and positive spirit.
“It was truly inspiring to see our community come together for Wendi, who is an amazing woman,” said Sean Provost, Dutch Bros Woodland owner. “Thank you so much Woodland, you showed up to support her and her family in a time of need.”
“It’s always so eye-opening and inspiring to see a city show up to help a local family in need,” said Ryan Vargas, Dutch Bros Woodland regional manager. “This past Monday, with the help of all of our amazing customers out here in Woodland, we were able to spread lots of love and help out Wendi and her family after they’ve been through such a tough time over the past few weeks. Thank you to everyone who showed up and made it such a memorable day. Love always wins!”
To raise funds, Dutch Bros Woodland donated proceeds from the day’s sales and provided on-site donation buckets for community members who wanted to donate more. Funds will support Wendi and her family as they adjust to a new chapter in life.
