Dutch Bros Vancouver Raised Over $1,800 for Local Family

January 31, 2017

VANCOUVER, Wash. (Jan. 31, 2017) – On Wednesday, Jan. 25, Dutch BrosVancouver’s 10417 Mill Plain location hosted “Mochas for Muarrys” and raised $1,850 to support this local family.

The Murray’s, are a part of the local Vancouver community, lost their home to a devastating house fire on Jan. 7. Hanson Murray and his family frequent this Mill Plain location, so much so, that when the crew heard what happened, they sprang into action to find a way to support this family—a family who has positively impacting so many of their lives.

“We are overwhelmed with the amount of love and positivity poured in and out of our windows, Wednesday,” said Vancouver Regional Manager, Sabrina Santoyo-Mendez.

On Wednesday, Dutch Bros Vancouver’s Mill Plain location donated $1 from every mocha sold, as well as offered on-site donation buckets for community members to have the option to support the local family further. Funds, will not be able to bring back the memories and heirlooms that were lost in the fire, but they will support the family as they begin to rebuild their lives.

“We wanted to thank every one that participated for their kindness and generosity. Together, we were able to raise $1,850 to get the Murray family back on their feet. We wanted to thank every one that participated for their kindness and generosity. Together we can make a difference!”
