SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2016) – On Saturday, Oct. 15, Dutch Bros locations in Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, Granite Bay and Roseville partnered with their community to raise 2,368 pairs of socks and undergarments for “Socks from the Heart to the Homeless” for Socktober.
“It was so cool to be a part of Socks from the Heart to the Homeless and we hope to be a part of it for many more years,” said Mattie Place, Dutch Bros Granite Bay and Roseville owner. “It’s grown so much in the last few years and we hope to keep that going!”
Socks from the Heart to the Homeless was created in 2011 by Mathew Johnson as a way to help local members of the community who are without basic clothing items, such as socks and undergarments.
To encourage community involvement, Dutch Bros locations in Sacramento, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, Granite Bay and Roseville offered customers a 9-stamp loyalty card with every donation of new socks or undergarments.
