Dutch Bros Live Oak Raises Over $3,000 for Injured Yuba County Sheriff Deputies

August 14, 2017

LIVE OAK, Calif. (Aug. 14, 2017) – On Wednesday, Aug. 9, Dutch Bros Live Oak raised $3,246.37 for two Yuba County Sheriff Deputies currently recovering from being shot in the line of duty earlier this month.

“Live Oak is a small community, but we really rallied around this cause,” said Erin Backman, owner of Dutch Bros Live Oak. “It was incredible to see how many people came out to support Deputies Bronson and Everhart, it was an amazing day.”

Deputies Phillip Bronson and Andrew Everhart were shot while pursuing a suspect earlier this month. Initially listed in critical condition, both gentleman have since been reported as being in good condition.

To raise funds on Wednesday, Dutch Bros Live Oak donated $1 from every drink sold, as well as provided an onsite donation bucket to community members wishing to make an additional donation.  Proceeds from the day will directly benefit Deputies Bronson and Everhart via the Yuba County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Family Support Fund through the Sierra Central Credit Union to help offset medical expenses incurred from their service to the community.
