PHOENIX, Ariz. (Nov. 29, 2016) – Dutch Bros locations in the greater Phoenix-area are adopting 19 local families, in conjunction with Thrive, this holiday season to provide them with a positive Christmas, filled with joy. To raise funds, on Thursday, Dec. 1, all Phoenix-area locations will donate $1 from every drink sold to these families in the form of gifts, necessities and meals this Christmas.
“It's such an honor to partner with Thrive as we both work together to make a positive impact for these local families during this Christmas season,” said Caleb Berkey, Dutch Bros West Valley owner.
"We are so honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve our local community with the help of Thrive!” said Josh Hayes, Dutch Bros East Valley Regional Manager.
Thrive, is a local nonprofit that strives to help families stay together by keeping children out of the foster care system. Through the Foster Care Prevention program, Thrive is able to provide parents with the necessities needed to ensure household environments are both safe and nurturing—not only for the child, but also for the parents.
“THRIVE is honored to have Dutch Bros as a partner. Dutch Bros is well known not just for their coffee but also their involvement in their community,” said Teri Vogel, Thrive Program Director. “Dutch Bros involvement with THRIVE this Christmas will help us make what normally would be a stressful time into a memorable Christmas that these families will never forget.”
“Through this organization, we have been matched up with 19 families who will receive the magic and experience of a Christmas that we hope to make unforgettable for them,” said Josh.
"We all need a helping hand in various ways and times throughout our life,” said Caleb. “We sincerely hope that our efforts truly bless these individuals.”
On Thursday, all 18 Dutch Bros locations in the greater Phoenix-area will donate $1 from every drink sold their adopted families through Thrive, funds raised will also help the Dutch Bros warehouse in Arizona help a family as well. Hence, enabling the two area franchisees, Jim Thompson and Caleb Berkey, and their employees to support a total of 19 families this holiday season. Funds will directly benefit these families by allowing stand employees to purchase gifts for the families, and plan activities with them throughout the month of December to provide these families a positive holiday season they will always remember.
“The families Thrive helps have been through a lot mentally and physically and we hope to alleviate some of that with this event,” said Josh. “We hope to see you on the first! $1 from every drink sold goes to creating the most unbelievable Christmas possible!"
