DAVIS, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2016) – On Friday Oct. 7, Dutch Bros locations in Auburn, Citrus Heights, Davis, Dixon, Elk Grove, Fairfield, Fair Oaks, Granite Bay, Oakley, Rocklin, Roseville, Sacramento, and Woodland, Calif., as well as locations in Albany, Ore. honored the life of Ashley Vargas-Pritt and joined forces with their communities to raise $31,678 to help offset medical expenses and support her two young children.
On Wednesday, Sept. 21, Ashley Vargas-Pritt unexpectedly lost her life. Ashley, a local Albany resident, was known for her “heart of gold” and pouring love into everything she did. She was an incredibly loving wife, friend and sister, and a wonderful mother to her two young children.
Ashley had very close ties with Dutch Bros, as she watched her brother, Ryan, grow in the company. She was there every step of the journey: from Ryan starting as a broista in their home city of Albany, Ore. to him growing into the Regional Manager role in Davis, Calif. When news broke of Ashley’s passing; both area franchisees, Sean Provost and Aaron Eastman wanted to support their employee and his family in their time of need. Other areas franchisees also wanted to show their support for Ryan, as he, himself, shares his sister’s “heart of gold” mentality and has positively impacted the lives of so many.
To raise funds, all locations donated proceeds from the day sales. Funds will support Ashley’s children, as well as help with any medical expenses incurred from this unforeseen loss.
