Dutch Bros Springfield Supports Firefighters as They Climb for a Cure

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (Feb. 22, 2017) –  On Friday, Feb. 24, Dutch Bros Springfield’s Gateway location, at 3256 Gateway St., is partnering with the Springfield and Eugene Fire Departments as they prepare for the 26th annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb by matching all donations raised from from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to benefit of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

 

This year marks as the 26th annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb event hosted by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The LLS is dedicated to the research of blood cancers, they also strive to provide patient support services that improve quality of life for patients and their families. Firefighters across the United States participate annually in the 788 ft. stair climb in support of raising funds and awareness about blood cancer.

 

“This is an exciting opportunity for us to give back to a cause that effects many people around us, customers, family, and loved ones alike,” said local Springfield owner, Chris Stewart. “It’s also a chance for us to thank the brave men and women of the Springfield and Eugene Fire Departments for risking their lives on a daily basis to save so many others.”

 

On Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Springfield and Eugene firefighters will team up to take part in the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb and simultaneously raise funds through donations at the Gateway Dutch Bros, located at 3256 Gateway St. Dutch Bros Springfield will match the donation total brought in on location on Friday in support of the firefighters and the LLS as they fight for those battling blood cancer and continue their research in finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
