Dutch Bros Spokane to Celebrate Grand Opening with $1 16-ounce Drinks

SPOKANE, Wash. – On Tuesday, August 15, Dutch Bros Spokane, located at 9208 E. Sprague Ave., will celebrate its grand opening with $1 16-ounce drinks. Proceeds will be help Helen Black offset medical expenses incurred from multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

Earlier this year, Helen, a local to Spokane, was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. Her cancer ultimately metastasized and tumors would spread into the pleural areas of her lungs. Helen has completed nine sessions of chemotherapy, but has three more sessions to complete before she is able to rescan to check the status of her tumors.

Helen, 52, is a mother of nine, and has been visiting Dutch Bros in Spokane since it opened in 2006. She has made a huge impact on the crew, so much so that when they heard about her recent diagnosis, they immediately wanted to help out.

“Helen has been an amazing regular at our stands,” said Kevin Parker, owner of Dutch Bros Spokane. “The crew adores her, and we are excited about the chance to help her and her family in their time of need.”

On the day of the grand opening, this location will be open from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. and will provide its community with all 16-ounce drinks, drinks offered include specialty coffee, smoothies, teas, freezes, and Dutch Bros private-label energy drink, Dutch Bros Blue Rebel™ for $1 to support Helen and her family in their time of need. Proceeds will directly support Helen and help offset medical expenses incurred from numerous rounds of chemotherapy.

Dutch Bros Spokane is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 5 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
