Dutch Bros Colorado Springs to Raise Funds For 17-Month-Old Diagnosed With Cancer

June 26, 2017

COLORADO SPRINGS, Col. (June 26, 2017) – On Wednesday, June 28, the Dutch Bros located at 1802 E Platte Ave. will donate the day’s proceeds to Henry Tuttle. Additionally, with every large drink purchased this location will be offering a loyalty card with nine of the ten stamps needed for a free drink.

Henry was born at just 26 weeks, and spent the first fifteen weeks of his life in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.) He was able to return home for almost a year before his parent’s noticed that he was losing weight and energy.

When Henry’s parents rushed him back to the hospital, Henry was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his brain. He has already made it through three brain surgeries, which resulted in the complete removal of his tumor. However, Henry will have six rounds of Chemo over the next six months to combat his carcinoma.

“A friend and co-worker of Lisa came to us with the story of this very selfless, giving family. They have faced not only heart breaking challenges, but also have financial challenges coming with their son Henry’s treatment,” said Rita Pickern, owner of Dutch Bros Colorado Springs. “Henry’s mom is a nurse at the neighboring hospital near our Platte Ave. location, and she is always helping others. We want to help and give that love back to her and her family.”

Dutch Bros Colorado Springs is open Monday through Sunday from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. On Wednesday June 28, proceeds from the Platte Ave. Dutch Bros will be donated to Henry Tuttle.
